General Terms and Conditions of HSBC's Overseas Spending Monthly Draw

Eligibility

• HSBC's Overseas Spending Monthly Draw ("Monthly Draw") is open to all cardholders of valid accounts of HSBC credit cards as herein described ("Cardholder").
• All valid accounts of *HSBC credit cards ("HSBC Card") qualify for participation.
  (*HSBC Cards means any of the HSBC Visa / MasterCard Credit Cards except HSBC US dollar cards, Corporate credit cards and The Choice Card.)
• The validity of all qualifying HSBC Cards shall be determined by HSBC in its sole and absolute discretion.
• In order to be eligible for the Monthly Draw, the Cardholder must charge to their personal HSBC Cards issued by The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited, Singapore for any foreign currency transaction made (inclusive of retail purchase, online transaction, cash advance made in overseas) between 1 March and 31 December 2008 ("Period").
• To be entitled for a chance to win in the Monthly Draw of a particular month during the Period, Cardholder must have at least one foreign currency retail transaction made in that particular month.
• Cardholder is required to only register once via SMS during the Period and he/she will be included in the Monthly Draw, subject to the other terms and conditions of this Monthly Draw.
• To register for the Monthly Draw, simply SMS to 9184 2000 anytime between 28 February and 30 November 2008 in the format: HSBCMD<space>HSBC's 16-digit credit card number and Cardholder will receive an SMS acknowledgement of their participation.
• Cardholders must have a valid HSBC Card at the time of registration and fulfillment. If the card is found to be invalid, or if the card is targeted for closure, HSBC reserves the right to forfeit the prize and award it to the next eligible Cardholder selected from the Monthly Draw.

Prizes

• There will be six winners for each of the 10 months between March and December 2008. Each winner will receive S$200 cash prize.
• The Monthly Draw date will be conducted before the last day of next month of the month of the Monthly Draw. (i.e. For the March 2008 Draw, the draw will be conducted by 30 April 2008.)
• Cash prizes won will be credited to the winners' main HSBC Cards within 15 days after the draw date. (i.e. For the March 2008 Draw, if the draw date is 30 April 2008, we will notify Cardholder via SMS and credit the cash prizes into Cardholders' main HSBC Cards account by 15 May 2008.) The results of the Draw will be published in a newspaper circulated in Singapore within 14 working days from the date of the last Draw in January 2009.
• In the event that a winner's HSBC Card is closed or terminated or suspended for whatsoever reasons before the cash prize is credited into the winner's HSBC Card account, HSBC reserves the right to forfeit the prize and donate the equivalent amount to charity(ies) of HSBC's choice.
• All winners whose prizes have been forfeited shall not be entitled to any payment or compensation.
• Each prize winner agrees to co-operate with and participate in any advertising or publicity activities of HSBC relating to the Draw and agrees that HSBC may publicise the name, IC/passport number and/or photograph of any Winner in such mode and manner as HSBC considers fit.
• HSBC reserves the right to vary, amend, delete or add to any of these Terms and Conditions, at any time, in its sole and absolute discretion without prior notice.
• HSBC accepts no liability for the quality of goods and service provided by the merchants involved in this promotion.
• HSBC's decision on all matters relating to the Monthly Draw is final and binding on the Cardholders.
